Debate: Is the “examined life” the best path to the good life?

I’m trying to study for my Philosophy course and I need some help to understand this question.

7. Make use of arguments presented in the assigned readings.
8. Make use of Al Gore’s Nobel Peace Prize Lecture or his film.
